Blogging AGAIN....

This is something that I really need to do... Wow, one year since posting!!!! I'm such a bad blogger. So for warm ups, I'm going start rummaging through archives publishing the first photo of the day that moves me. I hate writing, so little to no words will be used. Photos are worth a 1000 words, right?

a little before and after...

Post processing is my favorite when it comes to photography.  I use the photograph as a blank canvas and create my vision.  Maybe it's because I cannot write, draw or paint....but I find I have a lot control when I'm creating a digital enhancement.  One of my clients, Catherine, loved this photo of her son and Murphy, the dog; however, she wanted to be excluded from photo.  I said, "Sure, let's see what I can do."

and this is what I came up with....I fell in love with it!!!  as well as Catherine.  Thank you Catherine!!!!

4 plus weeks and still archiving...gosh, I'm running into galleries and photo shoots that I totally forgot about including this album that I started in 2009 and never completed.  Here are just a few of my sharings from my unfinished book.  (my poor kids have been locked up in a hard drive for years.  time to let them loose.)

a celebration with Cinderella...

At the end of January, we celebrated Maddie's 5th birthday party.  Every year we throw a birthday bash for her, and every year it turns more and more into a huge glorious production.  This year, I decided to bring in entertainment {for my sanity, although, it was still totally crazy here!!}.  I met up with networking friend, Jenny Waters, owner of the Social Butterfly and co-owner of the Cinderella Company to discuss my intentions and plan of action for Maddie's party.  We mutually decided on Cinderella for storytelling, singing, magic and face painting....and a coronation ceremony for Princess Maddie.  WOW!!!!  When Cinderella came to door, Maddie was more than surprised....she was totally enchanted!!!!  With 17 knights, princess maidens and little blossoms running wild with sword fights, makeovers, play doh, food, and candy...Cinderella stole the show and bestowed a whole bit of her magic upon them....

Thank you Cinderella.....as Maddie said on her delightful day, "This is the BEST Party EVER!!!".

Spring is soon...

Although Mr. Ground Hog noted a little bit more winter, flowers are sprouting and blooming here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Valentine's Day is right around the corner, as well as St. Patrick's Day and Easter...

Holidays 2009 - Mia's First Christmas

Dear Santa,
For Christmas this year, I want a new baby brother or sister. If its a baby brother, I will teach him how to build blanket forts, throw ball, and make mud pies. If its a baby sister, I will still teach her how to build blanket forts, throw ball, and make mud pies. We can play choo choo train and watch Curious George together, and eat ice cream until our bellies ache. If I can have this Santa, I promise I will be good forever. By the way, can I also still get all the toys on my list as well???

And Evan, Santa delivered your Christmas package early this year. On October 15th, little Mia Catherine was welcomed to the Arnold household. Along with a whole lot of bribery, we were able to capture the sweetest moments of this beautiful family. Happy Holidays to all of you....
