Back in May for the Pleasanton Mom's Club Brunch, I provided a huge basket of goodies and session prize for a lucky raffle winner.  Our lucky mom, Heather, and her family won my wonderful basket of goodies....{pottery barn photo frame, lemon drop ingredients, mini accordian calendar, sprinkles cupcakes...just to name a few; but the grande prize was a complimentary photo session and a 16x20!!!}  Congratulations, Heather, on winning my prize!!!

what to wear....

This question is always a topic for discussion when preparing a photography session.  But it is the aspect of the session that should never be overlooked.  Not only do you want everyone in the photo looking good, but you also want to consider on how the photos will be displayed or used.  Inspired by the recent blog article posted in the National Association of Professional Childrens Photographers {which I am a member of}, I decided that I really need to sit down and think about how I can help clients get ideas for their sessions.  I came up with these arrangements using one of my favorite kids clothing stores, Gymboree.  Half of my childrens' closets are filled with their clothes.  Love 'em.  Not to mention that I also have the Gymboree VISA to receive added benefits!  Stay tuned for more clothing ideas!!!

rain days are fun...

Rain day, again!!! Get the kids dressed up and do the session anyway....if your session date falls on a 'rain day', let's go shoot anyway... {then we'll reschedule another day full of sun and springtime flowers}...call me today to schedule your 'rain day' session!!!!

a celebration with Cinderella...

At the end of January, we celebrated Maddie's 5th birthday party.  Every year we throw a birthday bash for her, and every year it turns more and more into a huge glorious production.  This year, I decided to bring in entertainment {for my sanity, although, it was still totally crazy here!!}.  I met up with networking friend, Jenny Waters, owner of the Social Butterfly and co-owner of the Cinderella Company to discuss my intentions and plan of action for Maddie's party.  We mutually decided on Cinderella for storytelling, singing, magic and face painting....and a coronation ceremony for Princess Maddie.  WOW!!!!  When Cinderella came to door, Maddie was more than surprised....she was totally enchanted!!!!  With 17 knights, princess maidens and little blossoms running wild with sword fights, makeovers, play doh, food, and candy...Cinderella stole the show and bestowed a whole bit of her magic upon them....

Thank you Cinderella.....as Maddie said on her delightful day, "This is the BEST Party EVER!!!".

Spring is soon...

Although Mr. Ground Hog noted a little bit more winter, flowers are sprouting and blooming here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Valentine's Day is right around the corner, as well as St. Patrick's Day and Easter...
