Last November, we lost a very special person in our lives. Patrick, my best friend's son, was killed in action while serving our country in Afghanistan. Life, as all of knew it, has not been the same. He left not only his mom, dad, and two other brothers, but also a wife and a baby son. An avid volleyball player, like his mother, and two brothers, his HS jersey will be retired during a memorial service on April 17th at Montour HS prior to the team's home volleyball game. The American Flag that had flown at the White House will be presented to his wife and young son. To Patrick, you're deeply missed and we all love you!!! Thank you for your honor and courage........

My #3 son also lost his best friend last year in Balad, Iraq. He was 22, married with 2 babies. Cameron came home in May to be there for the birth of his daughter. He saw her for 8 days. They named her Kylee, after my son. His name is Kyle. Before Cameron left he felt that something was going to happen, so he asked my son to take care of his family. 3 weeks later he was killed on a rescue mission. They are too young. I will be thinking of Patrick all day.
