Blogging AGAIN....

This is something that I really need to do... Wow, one year since posting!!!! I'm such a bad blogger. So for warm ups, I'm going start rummaging through archives publishing the first photo of the day that moves me. I hate writing, so little to no words will be used. Photos are worth a 1000 words, right?

a little before and after...

Post processing is my favorite when it comes to photography.  I use the photograph as a blank canvas and create my vision.  Maybe it's because I cannot write, draw or paint....but I find I have a lot control when I'm creating a digital enhancement.  One of my clients, Catherine, loved this photo of her son and Murphy, the dog; however, she wanted to be excluded from photo.  I said, "Sure, let's see what I can do."

and this is what I came up with....I fell in love with it!!!  as well as Catherine.  Thank you Catherine!!!!

little tap shoes...

And happy birthday to the little miss tap shoes!!!  With Jessica's artistic help, I created a gorgeous canvas art piece, commemorating Miss M's dance recital with Tiffany's Dance Academy this last summer.  The lyrics to the song, "Little Tap Shoes", are written on the sides of the canvas....the tune of the song goes along with Shirley Temple's, "Animal Cracker's in my Soup.".....soooooo cute!!!!  Miss M stole the show that day.  Happy Birthday baby girl!!!!

archiving...

I am currently archiving thousands of photos {thousands is an under stated....scanning 35mm film, scanning heritage photos, post processing my personal photos that have sat on my drives with no where to go...  in the mindst of archiving saved photos on CDs, I would say that 5% of those photos became corrupted and unattainable...goes to show, that a sole means of archiving is not the way to go.  I do utilize a triage system for archiving:  CD, external hard drive, and online archival site.  Once everything becomes snug and "safe" - yet that word doesn't mean 100% proof...hard copies will be made - albums, photos, boxes, etc.   Memories need to be preserved, otherwise why take a picture, right?

Playdate anyone???

With the warm weather approaching, and for some us its already here, our little ones are begging to go to parks, the zoo, or just in our backyards to play, play, and play!! Playdates, and other spontaneous fun-filled adventures are a fun way to gain social interaction for our children. But have you ever been to the park, and your child makes friends with the other children... the other moms realize that you all get together more often, and you go to your purses rummaging through old receipts to use as paper to write down your contact information...only to realize that you don't have a pen either. Business people have business cards, high school seniors have 411 or rep cards....adults have calling cards...well, kids should have "mommy cards" {daddies too!!}...
These fun little cards are totally custom made....the inspiration is to create adorable little mommy cards, with matching cute greeting cards to announce the beginning of spring!!! Contact me for some playdate fun!!
